Morgan Rice is a self-published fantasy and sci-fi author who in 2011 declared that she was not interested in pursuing traditional publishing for her adult novel.
In 2013, the first three books of the "Sorcerer's Ring" series were among the bestselling books for Amazon.com. with the eleventh rating of "A Quest of Heroes", the fourteenth "A March of Kings" and "A Feast of Dragons" (actually "A Fate of Dragons") ranked seventeen in the category of children/teens/adults young.
In 2015 he was included as part of the "Fierce" box set.
In February 2016, four of his books were among the top 20 best selling iBooks in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category. In April "Rise of the Valiant" climbed to 6th highest position, falling to 20th high in May.
For some series of books he gave the first one for free.
