The Chevrolet Performance US Nationals is the NHRA's prescribed drag racing event, generally regarded as the world's most prestigious drag racing event because of its history, size and wallet, held annually at the Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana.

With the final round of events taking place on Labor Day, it was the only Monday event on the schedule, and was the longest Labor Day motor sport event in the United States, a difference gained in 2004.

The first edition of the NHRA Nationals was held at Great Bend City Airport in Great Bend, Kansas in 1955. The event moved first to the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds of Oklahoma for the "National Hot Rod Association's 4th National Drag Championship" sponsored in 1958, then moved to Detroit Dragway in Detroit, Michigan for 1959-1960 before moving to Indianapolis Raceway Park in 1961, and has remained there ever since, after a verbal agreement was made between the founder of NHRA and Wally Parks Board Chairman and then-owner of the track. In 1979, NHRA bought the entire complex. In 2006, his name was changed to O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, after auto parts supplier O'Reilly Auto Parts bought the naming rights. In 2010, Lucas Oil bought the rights, renaming the Lucas Oil track in Indianapolis.
