Carlos Jaime Alazraqui (born July 20, 1962) is an American comedian, actor, voice actor, singer, impressionist, producer and screenwriter best known as Vice President James Garcia at Reno 911! His extensive voice-over works include Bobbi Fabulous's role in Phineas and Ferb , Taco Bell Chihuaua in Taco Bell, Denzel Crocker and Juandissimo Magnifico in The Fairly OddParents < , Rocko and Spunky at Rocko's Modern Life, Lazlo and Clam at Camp Lazlo , Grandpapi Rivera at El Tigre: Manny Rivera Adventure , and as Master Weed at Family Guy . He is a weekly contributor at The Stephanie Miller Show .

Carlos Jaime Alazraqui was born on July 20, 1962 in Yonkers, New York to Argentine parents. He moved with his family to Concord, California at an early age. He attended California State University, Sacramento, California from 1982-1986, where he began competing in an open mic contest. After winning his 4th year competing in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, Alazraqui took his prize money and moved to Los Angeles.

Careers

Voice work

Alazraqui has since made some sounds for the Nickelodeon cartoon, including Rocko at Rocko's Modern Life, as Denzel Q. Crocker and Juandissimo Magnifico at The Fairly OddParents, Winslow T. Oddfellow and Lube at CatDog , and Scooter at SpongeBob SquarePants . He also voiced some additional voices for the Cartoon Network, Cow and Chicken , KIDSCITY: The Village Dome of Kids and I Am Weasel as they walked in the mid-1990s. He is also the original Spyro sound in the first video game in the Spyro the Dragon series. He was then replaced by Tom Kenny, who voiced Spyro at Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! , Spyro: Dragon Year , and Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly . He also voiced the Tacoma Bell chihuahua in the Taco Bell, Rikochet ad in the first two seasons Ã,¡Mucha Lucha! and Mr. Weed (head of "Happy Go Lucky" toy factory) at Family Guy . Mentioned in the DVD comment track that Alazraqui refused to leave Family Guy . In particular, Seth MacFarlane points out that the death of Alazraqui's character, Mr. Weed surprised the actor.

In 2005, he added a voice to two Cartoon Network series - The Life and Times of Juniper Lee where he played Monroe, a guard dog with a Scottish accent and three characters in Camp Lazlo : Lazlo, Clam, and Chef McMuesli. In 2006, he added Salty Mike from Squirrel Boy and Walden at Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! in Nick, Jr. to his credit. He plays Wisk in the 2000 film version of Glen Hill from L. Frank Baum of Santa Claus's Life and Adventure . He also cast Nestor's voice in Happy Feet fims.

Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, a storyboard writer for Rocko's Modern Life, describes Alazraqui's normal voice as "no accent at all". Marsh describes Alazraqui's "Scottish accent" as "one of the best" and that he performs other accents as "all very good". According to Marsh, Alazraqui uses various accents in his comedic routines. He once worked for Disney Channel on Handy Manny, where he voted for Felipe, a Phillips-head bilingual screwdriver and for Abuelito, Manny's grandfather. She is the original "male voice" at Stephanie Miller Show. His successor was Jim Ward, who had previously succeeded him. In January 2008, Alazraqui returned to replace Jim Ward while he recovered from surgery. In 2014, he voiced Mesmo and Torts at Mixels . He is currently voicing the voice of Tio Tortuga in Sheriff Callie Wild West .

In addition, Alazraqui joined the Miller Section Liberal Comedy Tour in 2014, played several times with Jim Ward and he has a semi-regular segment on the radio show Miller Coffee with Carlos .

Television

Alazraqui is known for his live action work on Reno 911! , where he described Deputy James Garcia for five seasons (2003-2008). She plays the same role in the spinoff film series Reno 911! Miami . As a nod to this role, he also played Reno's "awkward" police in the episode of CSI "Let it Bleed". She has become a celebrity in Tom Bergeron's version of Hollywood Squares.

Movies

Alazraqui wrote and starred in The Last White Dishwasher , a short film.

Web series

In 2009, he collaborated with Ted Nicolaou on the web series The Club , released in November 2010. The series featured Jill-Michele MeleÃÆ'¡n, Debra Wilson, Johnny A. Sanchez, Lori Alan, and Daran Norris.

In 2013, Alazraqui starred as a Cuban drug dealer in an episode of the Melinda Hill web series of Romantic Encounters .
