Big Stick is an alternative/independent duo that gained extensive domestic and foreign air broadcasts with their debut release, Drag Racing EP in 1986. It was instantly recognizable to Yanna Trance's appealing voice repeatedly uttering the phrase " In summer I put on my top tube, and Eddie took me to the dragstrip " along the track. It was one of 142 singles in the BBC DJ John Peel Record Box that he chose to save in case of fire.
In 1990, Blast First records released a set of 10 7 "single boxes by various artists on their list, including Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Big Black, Butthole Surfers and Sun Ra. The box set was named after the Big Stick track containing, Jukebox Satan .
While the band stays together and has recently appeared with My Life With the Kill Kult Thrill, it's still for the best known Drag Racing. They also collaborated on the movie soundtrack, for Besotted .
