Dragon Ball Z Trading Card Game (original Dragon Ball Z Ball Card Game Game and Dragon Ball GT Trading Card Game ) is an out-of-print trade card game based on the Dragon Ball series created by Akira Toriyama. This game is produced by Score Entertainment and uses anime screenshots to try to recreate the famous show and fight seen in the anime. The score then sold the rights to Panini which eventually stopped publishing.
The game was first released in 2000, with a starter deck "Saiyan Saga" and a booster package. In 2006, the game has eighteen expansions, a "virtual" set, several "Subsets", and many promotional cards, or "Promos".
New game, Dragon Ball Collectible Card Game, with completely different rules released by Bandai in July 2008. The game was stopped quickly.
The original remake was released on October 18, 2014. The new game was designed by Panini America employees and the original DBZCCG World Champion Aik Tongtharadol and will be released under the Panini brand. This new game has many of the same elements from the original but with significant changes to ensure a more fluid and clear game game.
In January 2017, it was announced that Dragon Ball Super CCG is being released.

Card Type
Battles in the card game are represented by the "Physical Combat" card, which points to martial arts skills conducted by Z Fighters and their enemies, and "Combat Energy" cards, depicting attacks using ki, used by Characters. A card depicting a series event is known as a "Non-Tempur" card in DBZ CCG, then as "Non-Combat Setup" in TCG DBGT. In DBZ TCG, these cards are known as "Support" cards. Both Trading Card Games also release sports cards called "Event Combat" cards, while the cards are referred to only as "Combat" cards in the original Collectible Card Game.
Other card types in Z-CCG and GT-TCG include Personality cards (used as Primary or Allied Personality), Mastery Card and Sensei. Card mastery is used in conjunction with a single-style deck that can be used to declare Tokui-Waza and will enable various benefits throughout the game, and cover Saiyan, Namekian, Red, Black, Orange and Blue styles. Then, Mastery of Free Style was introduced. The Sensei Card is required for the Sensei deck, a game mechanic that is likened to a side deck system from Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Games and similar games.
Mastery cards were introduced with Trunks Saga while Sensei Cards debuted at World Games Saga. Dragon Balls are classified as "Non-Combat" throughout the first set but from Majin Buu Saga and so on they receive a card-type "Dragon Ball" to replace "Non-Combat", a trend that continues into DBGT TCG.

Rarity, Distribution and Image Card
Card scarcity is listed as follows:
1-Star: -Common - This card is easily accessible through any means.
2-Star: -Promo - For card collectors, the scores of "2-Star" promo cards are debatable. Promos can often be obtained easily (for example, as a card on the World Games Saga game deck). Other times they require limited effort to get, as it is packaged along with other cards in the Sub-Set of various sets of cards (Broly Sub-Set, for example). Some are very difficult to obtain, such as only available to participants, participants, runners-up, and winners of official Dragon Ball Z card tournaments (such as Grand Kai Invitational).
3-Star: -Uncommon - The availability of these cards is primarily lower than "1-Star" cards, although they are still somewhat easy to obtain but some cards are rather difficult to obtain.
4-Star: -Fixed - This is a card that is primarily displayed or "pre-built" always or frequently in, especially, the starter deck. The examples include a random Main Personality (MP) card, which varies depending on the starter deck. Dragon Ball GT changed this a bit by making a "4-Star" personality card available in a booster package.
5-Stars: -Rare - Availability of these cards is much lower than "1-Star" and slightly lower than "3-Star" card. In the booster package, most of the time there is only one "5-Star" card in it, although this can vary especially if the "Foil" (or holo) card is involved, distribution error, or in the case of the starter deck in GT, two rare in in.
6-Star: -Ultra Rare - These cards are, for the most part, very difficult to obtain. Some booster boxes can be opened even before one "6-Star" card is revealed. GT is the only version of the game featuring Styled cards as part of its ultra-rare array, not just personalities, combat, or non-combat cards. In Z, in Base sets there are four Ultra Rares, and in Expansions there are two Ultra Rare. In GT, in Base set there are eight Ultra Rares, while in Expansion set there are only four. Also to note that Ultra Rare cards are always in "Foil".
7-Star: -Premium/Uber Rare - Similar to Promo cards in some aspects, "Star 7" cards are mostly only available through approved tournament Score. The exceptions noted for this rule are two "Gotenks" personality cards that are randomly inserted into the Buu Saga starter deck. Although technically they have seven stars, many card game fans feel that the easy availability of these two cards should not be treated as a Premium or Uber Rare card.
Foil Cards: In the booster package, one of every two or three packages will contain a foil card. These cards increase the value of existing cards, and the effect will depend largely on collectors or players.
Alternative Card (Alt.) Foil: Every year at Grand Kai Invitational, replacement versions of old cards are created and given to participants. This Alternative Card was created to edit most of the popular, but not well-written cards of Saiyan and Frieza Sagas such as Nappa's Physical Resilience and Vegeta Accuracy Drill. The score also makes a replacement version of all ultra-rare from Saiyan Saga to Babidi Saga. The way to differentiate is the Foil pattern and the number is replaced by UR 1-22.
Limited and Unlimited: Scores often print their cards in "Limited Print Runs", which means that it's on a separate production line that will be stopped after an uncertain amount of time. "Restricted" cards are distinguished from "Unlimited" cards with Dragon symbols in Z or GT symbols in GT. The "Limited" card value is greater than Unlimited, and certain Sub-Sets within the "Unlimited" reinforcement package (such as Broly sets), will be marked as "Limited" regardless.
Booster Pack : A pack of ten, eleven, or twelve cards, usually with one rare card and an opportunity for a "Foil" card.
Starter Deck : A deck of cards (deconstructed in Z), which always has Level 1-3 and High Tech/Backer cards of the Main Personality (MP). In Z there is always one rare and one foil, and in GT there are always two rares and one foil.
Booster Box : A box of booster packs, usually a 24 or 36-card package.
Starter Deck Box : Kotak deck starts.
Additional cards on the set include a Personality card, which is arguably the most important card. Personality cards represent various characters from the series, ranging from warriors like Goku and Sel, to supporting characters like Oolong and Bulla. The Sensei Card is modeled after various martial arts teachers and series leaders, and holds a sort of "side-deck" for the game. A prominent exercise in the Game Card of Commerce and the GT Card Trading Game, and is a training exercise detailing Non-Combat cards. Mastery cards are the largest part of most decks, depending on "Same Style Advantages" or "Tokui-Waza", being the most effective. The location card/Battleground represents the local scene where combat and events in the series take place.
The deck in the game is built on the principles of various colors (supposedly representing the martial arts style: Red - more energy-heavy attack style, Blue - a more defensive fight style, Orange - tends to focus on allies, exercises, and settings, and Black - which has a lot of board manipulation), race (Saiyan - primarily a physical and Namekian fighter style that focuses on deck regeneration and manipulates waste piles), or "Freestyle" cards, which do not represent special styles but can be inserted onto the deck regardless of Tokui-Waza. Tokui-Waza can only be stated if someone has a card of one type (Red, Blue, Orange, Black, Saiyan, and Namekian), or all Freestyle cards. Saiyan and Namekian Tokui-Waza can only be declared if the player's Main Personality card is of Saiyan or Namekian descent, although the Namekian and Tokui-Waza style cards have been removed during the Dragon Ball GT. However, they are back in the DBZ Trading Card Game. The Majin Card is introduced at "World Games Saga" and lasts until the final set of the Collectible Card Game, "Kid Buu Saga". Most of these cards can only be played by Personality with "Majin" on their behalf, but can not be used to declare "Majin Tokui-Waza", although the card, "Majin Mastery" can be printed from the Score website and used in official games.
Dragon Ball Z's Collectible Card Game has 11 expansions, each representing the story arc, or "Saga" of the anime, such as "Saga Saiyan" or "Saga Cell Game". After the release of Kid Buu Saga, the Score shifted its focus toward Sagas Dragon Ball GT, altering some key rules, but still compatible with previous releases. A fifth GT set, "Anthology", was planned, but never released.
Dragon Ball Z Trading Card Game was released after the Dragon Ball GT game finished. Game rules changed drastically, making it incompatible with previous expansions. These cards are based on FUNimation's "Ultimate Uncut Edition" DVD, and are called "Re-Z" by many fans.
Expansion
=== Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game ===
Saiyan saga
Saga Saiyan, which is the first release of this game, is largely not endorsed. For example, during this and the next set (Frieza Saga), what came to be known as the "Saiyan Heritage Only" card can be played by "Villains, Goku, and Gohan only", meaning that even non-Saiya like Frieza and Guldo can use cards this. Another card is ambiguous in nature, stating things like "whether 1 card lives in damage per battle until an energy attack kills him." These cards are officially defeated on the Score website to fit the later expansion words. On the entertainment scale, the card suffers greatly from recycled quotes with quotes or parts of quotes that are reused on other cards.
The Saiyan Saga was released in Booster Packs, as well as Hero and Villain Starter Decks. Personality cards in this set include Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, and Saibaimen.
Frieza saga
The first Expansion Pack-only Booster, Saga Frieza adds scenes from the entire Namek arc story as well as some scenes from Saga Saiyan. Unfortunately, it does not add more; no new game elements are introduced, and the selection of Personality is somewhat questionable (eg, Guldo receives 1-3 Complete Personality Levels, whereas Frieza has only one). This set also continues the bad card title trends even though it seems to clear up on bad images for name connections.
Overall though, unlike other sets in the game, it seems to completely ignore the show in terms of characters with most of the Ginyu Force and Frieza highly ignored. From The Ginyu Force only Guldo, Jeice and Ginyu Captain are printed. Burter and Recoome must be satisfied with the group's appearance on the Trio Power Card Trio card from the Ginyu Force personality card. The second form of Frieza was released in the card game, although the third form was not. His last form at least got some show time in Lost Villains, but because of that Level 1 it could not be used with "Frieza, Master". Its 100% Full Power form is also released as Hi-Tech redemption for this set, but again... it's Level 1 and can not be used in conjunction with "Frieza, Master".
Hi-Tech Redemption Card released for this set - Frieza, Ginyu Captain, Garlic Jr, Spice, Vinegar & amp; Trunks
Personality cards in this set include Dodoria, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Nail, Dende, Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Guldo, Jeice, and Frieza.
Trunks saga
The Trunks Saga expansion is a combination of more scenes from Saga Frieza, as well as Saga Garlic Jr. and Trunks Saga. One of the more popular Personality, Future Trunks made his expansion debut here (he had previously been released as a Promo card). Also, Vegeta, formerly Criminals, began to be printed as a hero. In addition to the change of words on the card, Trunks Saga sees the debut of Mastery cards that can be used to beautify the deck, as well as the introduction of the Kidakian people's name styles to the Piccolo and Nail personality cards found in story Frieza. Personality cards in this set include Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Trunks, Vegeta, Jeice, Frieza, Dodoria, Ginyu Captain, Garlic Jr., King Cold, Spice, and Vinegar.
Ultra rare in this set is "Where Life Has Hope", "The Real Strength of Villain", "King Cold" level 4 and "Goku" level 4.
Android saga
Expansion Expansion Package Booster Game both Dragon Ball Z Trading Game. This set is widely regarded as the best produced by Scores, by many fans and players of casual tournaments. This set also includes certain cards, characterized by kanji burning, which represents scenes from the timeline of the Future Trunks.
Ultra Rares: The Hero Is Down, Trunks Guardian Drill
Saga Sel
With the introduction of Cell villain comes the first Personality Stage 5 card, which will remain the highest level until Dragon Dragon's Dragon Dragon Saga Shadow.
Cell Saga was released in Booster Packs, as well as Hero and Villain Starter Decks. Personality cards in this set include Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Trunks, Vegeta, Android 16, Android 17, Android 18, Android 19, and Android 20, and Cell.
The Rare 6 Ultra cards printed in this set are "Goku, Level 5", "Vegeta, Level 5", "Presence Cell", and "Z-Warriors Gather".
Mobile Game saga
Nothing new is actually brought with Saga Cell Game (Mechanics of Endurance game introduced in Cell Games) although it keeps adding brand new Level 5 cards, this time in the form of Ultra Rares for Trunks and Piccolo. It also introduced Cell Jrs, which is treated very similar to Saibaimen, although there are only 3 cards to choose from with two different Jrs Cell Level 1 and Level 2 Cell Jr.
Although not released in the same way as subsequent subsets, 22 Tuff Enuff cards are still considered part of the Saga Game Cell.
The Rare 6 Ultra cards printed in this set are "Trunks, Battler (level 5)" and "Piccolo, Defender (level 5)"
Personality cards in this set include Trunks, Piccolo, Dende, Chiaotzu, and Cell Jr.
World Games saga
Cells off, are in "Another World." The Celestial Fighters mechanic is exclusive to the Saga World Games, and not carried over to other expansions. World Games also introduced the "Sensei card", which proved to be the second most popular card type among many players, in addition to Personality. Despite the introduction of Sensei and Freestyle Mastery cards, this expansion was severely tortured due to the lack of Villain cards outside Majin Spopovich and Celestial Warriors. It also introduces "color-shifting" style cards that go against their traditional style. This is not taken well by the players.
The World Games Saga is released in Booster Packs, as well as Hero and Celestial Fighter Starter Decks. Personality cards in this set include Goku, Gohan, Goten, Piccolo, Krillin, Vegeta, Trunks Kid, Grand Kai, Videl, Olibu, Arqua, Chapuchai, Froug, Maraikoh, Tapkar, Torbie, Pikkon, and Majin Spopovich. Sensei cards in this set include Kai East, North Kai, Kai West, and South Kai.
Babidi saga
Other booster just set, Babidi Saga expanded on Majin mechanics. Although it has been introduced in World Games Saga, Majin Spopovich and Rare preview cards from Majin Vegeta are the only Personality that can utilize it. Majin mechanics are praised by some fans, and are viewed as lowly by others. Majin's personality can only have other Major Personalities as an ally; thus, at the end of the Dragon Ball CCG, if someone plays the Hero's deck with Majin Personalities, they only have Majin Vegeta, Majin Dabura, and "fat" Majin Buu to choose from. The mechanics are discarded when Dragon Ball GT is released, with the exception of playing in the Expanded format. In entertainment scales, such as Cell Game and World Games games, quotes and head-shot characters are limited almost solely to Non-Combat Cards and are few and far between.
Personality Cards in this set include Goku, Gohan, Android 18, Hercule, Videl, Supreme Kai, Majin Babidi, Majin Dabura, Majin Pui-Pui, Majin Yakon, and Majin Vegeta.
The 6-star Ultra Rare cards printed in this set are "Majin Vegeta, Level 1" and "Majin Vegeta, the Evil, Level 5".
Buu saga
Buu Saga introduced the concept of Alternative Dragon Balls (Dende, in this expansion), which is played exactly like the original, but with different effects. Also introduced is Fusion, which allows players to remove two certain Personality from playing to play a much stronger Personality. A new type of high-tech card was introduced for personality, called "gate-fold." It will have a normal card face on the outside, and then open it for a new card on the inside. Finally, the introduction of Bee's Personality card broke all Majin-only Allied allies, allowing him to become Ally to Majin Buu. This is the last Starter Deck set that was released for DBZ CCG. It introduces the only package booster "Uber Rares", despite their scarcity in such a way that they seem to be easier to get than Ultra Rares
The Buu Saga was released in Booster Packs, as well as Hero and Villain Starter Decks. The personality cards in this set include Goku, Gohan, Goten, Kid Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, Dende, Hercule, Oolong, Bee, Korin, Gotenks, Majin Babidi, Majin Dabura, Majin Vegeta and Majin Buu. Sensei cards in this set include Master Roshi and Elder Kai.
The 6th Rare Ultra Card printed in this set is "Goku, Super Saiyan 3, Level 5", "The Immortal Dragon Quest", "Majin Buu, Level 5", and "Master Roshi Sensei".
The 7-star Uber Rare cards printed in this set are "Gotenks, Level 1" and "Gotenks, Super Saiyan, Level 2"
Fusion saga
Fusion Saga, as the name implies, expanded on Fusion game mechanics, adding three new Fusion Personalities, as well as Phase 3 Personality for Gotenks. Set does not spin completely around the Fusions, however, as it also gives Majin Buu and Gohan some very powerful Personality cards. It also provides cards that block all types of specific attacks under certain conditions for each style, drastically improving the defensive ability.
Personality Cards in this set include Gohan, Yamcha, Gotenks. Vegito, Hercule-Goku, Den-Goku, Majin Buu, and Major Buu's Kamikaze Spirit.
The Rare 6 Ultra cards printed in this set are fusion-card characters "Gotenks, Super Saiyan 3, Level 3", and "Vegito, Level 2".
Kid Buu saga
The last set in Dragon Ball Z Collectable Card Game. Buu is given some stronger personalities in the form of Kid Buu, as well as Personality for Buu's creator, Bibidi. Also on set is a card with scenes and characters taking place at the 28th Tenka-ichi Budokai, which serves as the epilogue to the series. Interestingly enough, there is no Kid Buu level 1 personality, because the Score feels that there is enough Buu personality already. They decided not to make this Base set, and chose it as Expansion, mainly because the card series ended (before moving to GT), and a significant lack of personality was available for use as a member of parliament.
The Kid Buu saga see very little or no play during the regional season due to the fast release of GT. The Kid Buu saga set is one of the most completely played sets in game history, which is being tested by many famous player games. It has been alleged that there are more than 15 decks upstairs when Kid Buu is released.
The Rare 6 Ultra cards printed in this set are "Piccolo Sensei" and "Earth's Spirit Bomb".
It also includes all 36 cards without Bojack Unbound being sub-set, and all 4 levels of Broly in the amplifier set, although it's hard to get an average of no more than 3 or 4 Bojack Unbound cards found in each 24-packet booster box. Broly cards are even harder to find.
Personality Cards in this set include Gohan, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Android 18, Vegeta, Trunks Kid, Yamcha, Yajirobe, Hercule, Videl, Majin Dabura, Uub, Kai King, Pan, Kid Buu, and Majin Bibidi. Sensei cards in this set include Goku and Piccolo.
Dragon Ball GT Collection Card Game
With the introduction of cards based on the Dragon Ball Z sequel series, some game mechanisms change, mostly to suit the stronger characters of the anime. Personality Cards are given more stages of power, and High Technology Personality, for the first time, can be customized. Some cards, though still playable normally, can also be used as "Renewal" cards, which can be placed behind the High Technology Personality to change the power of Personality, Ranking of Strength, and/or power stage. Also, almost every non-Personality card has a Resilience rating, which allows them to "absorb" live cards from damage from attacks.
Baby saga
Dragon Ball first "Black Star Dragon Ball Saga"/"Missing Episode". Unlike the previous expansion (DBZ TCG), there is only one Starter Deck type, which randomly has one of the eight Starter Deck personalities. Although the Namekian Style cards are completely dropped, each Style is given two Mastery cards in this set. Also, for the first time, Oozaru is represented with a Personality card.
Baby Saga was released in Booster Packs, as well as Starter Decks. Personality cards in this set include Goku, Chi-Chi, Gohan, Goten, Vegeta, Bulma, Trunks, Bulls, Majin Buu, Elder Kai, Kabito Kai, Hercule, Videl, Pan, Giru, Uub/Majuub, Sugoro, Shusugoro, Baby , Dr. Myuu, Emperor Pilaf, Mai, Shu, General Rilldo, Mutant Robot, Sigma Power, Baby Gohan, Baby Goten, and Baby Vegeta.
Super 17 saga
The first Pack-only Booster expansion for GT did not add significant changes to the game mechanism, but reintroduced some fan favorite characters as Personality, such as Piccolo and Android 18.
Personality cards in this set include Goku, Chi-Chi, Goten, Vegeta, Bulma, Trunks, Bulla, Piccolo, Android 18, Maron, Dende, Majuub, Videl, Pan, Super Android 17, Android 17, Android 20, Frieza, Cell , Dr. Myuu, and General Rilldo.
Shadow Dragon saga
The second and final set of Dragon Ball GT to incorporate Starter Deck, Shadow Dragons introduce new concepts into the game; Masked, Ability, Augment, and Shift. Shadow Dragon also reintroduced the Sensei card, which has not been seen since Kid Buu Saga. Also, many cards that describe past events are marked as "Flashback" cards. Perhaps the biggest addition seen in this expansion, is the Personality Phase card 6. Only two of these, Goku and Omega Shenron, are released in this set. Fusion is also back, with Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
Shadow Dragon Saga is released in Booster Packs, as well as Starter Decks. Personality cards in this set include Goku, Chi-Chi, Gohan, Goten, Vegeta, Bulma, Trunks, Gogeta, Elder Kai, Kabito Kai, Hercule, Pan, Giru, Majuub, Omega Shenron, Nuova Shenron, Naturon Shenron, Eis Shenron, Rage Shenron, Haze Shenron, and Oceanus Shenron. Sensei cards in this set include Black Smoke Dragon, Giru, Kabito Kai, Vegeta, Eternal Dragon, Omega Shenron.
Missing saga episode
Using scenes from the first sixteen episodes of the Dragon Ball GT (known more generally as the "Black Star Dragon Balls" Saga), Lost Episodes continued the added gameplay changes in the Shadow Dragons. Lost Episodes also introduced new methods to win the game; attach the three desired Poster cards to the related Personality (Goku, Pan, and Trunks), and play the "Captured!" card, allowing players to win. The scores are planned for the fifth GT expansion after Lost Episodes (as seen by preview cards inserted into Lost Episodes Boosters), called "Anthology", which will include the Dragon Ball GT series as a whole. However, this set was never released and the Lost Episode inventory seems to be cut short. This makes it difficult for them to get Ultra Rares like Lv5 Pan, Lv5 Trunks and Bulma Sensei to be much rarer than Z cards like Goku, Super Saiyan 3 and Majin Vegeta, the Lazy. Some packages of Lost Episodes also have a bonus card "Skannerz".
Personality cards in this set include Goku, Pan, Trunks, Giru, Dr. Myuu, Dolltaki, Bon Para Para, Son Para Para, Don Para Para, Emperor Pilaf, Mai, General Rilldo, Luud, Ledgic, Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy, Mutchy, and Zoonama. Sensei cards in this set include Bulma and King Kai,
Dragon Ball Z Trading Card Game
Throwing most of the rules set out in the previous incarnation of the card game, the Dragon Ball Z Trading Card Game change was simultaneously praised by old fans who thought that the mechanics were stale, and criticized by those who wanted the game to continue the current format.
One big change in the Personality card (other than the fact that their power level, overall, the weakest of any expansion), they are divided into "Main" and "Allied" personality cards, whereas with previous expansion, Personality can be played as well. The stage numbers on the cards have different effects, as players may only have one Personality of a Character on their deck, and all levels of each player's Personalities must add up to three or less. Heroes and Criminals are no longer divided into parallels.
Also a big change in Personality, is "Character" printed on each card. Traits group characters based on species, such as Krillin being Human, Goku being Saiyan, or Frieza listed as Alien. If a character is a half-breed, like Gohan who is half human, half Saiyan, they are so defined.
Also worth noting, is that the set is named after the DVD from the original American release of the rank.
Arrival
The arrival is said to be known by a number of different names during development, including Saiyan Saga Redux, Saiyan Redo Saga, Vegeta Saga, Saiyan Saga II, and Dragon Ball Reborn. Whether these names are used internally by Score, or just by fans, remains uncertain. The arrival takes place in Saiyan/Vegeta Saga, although some card drawings come from more recent series (compare some Vegeta and Yamcha Personality, which resembles their Android Saga, for example).
Arrivals released in Booster Packs, as well as Starter Decks. Personality cards in this set include Chiaotzu, Gohan, Goku, Krillin, Nappa, Piccolo, Raditz, Saibaimen, Tien, Vegeta, and Yamcha.
Showdown
The first Package Booster Pack only from DBZ TCG, Showdown mixed scenes from Saga Saiyan/Vegeta Saga, as well as those from Namek/Ginyu/Frieza Sagas. The main concentration of this expansion is the saga of Namek, where Vegeta fought against Zarbon and Dodoria.
Personality cards in this set include Zarbon, Dodoria, Frieza, Gohan, Goku, Krillin, Launching, Vegeta, and Bulma.
Transformation
The transformation was released Spring of 2006, and is the last expansion set for DragonBall Z Trading Card Game. Transformation mostly contains cards with scenes from Namek/Ginyu/Frieza Sagas. The main concentration of this expansion is the battle between Ginyu Force and Earthlings, in collaboration with Vegeta, and a long battle between Frieza and Goku.
Personality cards in this set include Burter, Guldo, Jeice, Recoome, Captain Ginyu, Frieza, Krillin, Gohan, Nail, Piccolo, Vegeta, Dende, and Goku.
Revelation
Due to player demand, Score Entertainment decided to release the last proposed expansion set in the virtual card format, to play the law during Grand Kai Invitational 2006. Players can print these cards, via PDF files found on the main website, and use prints as card on their deck.
Subset
Starting with "Lost Villains" and "Puppet Show" at Saga World Games, Subsets has become an integral part of the card game. Oddly enough, the Dragon Ball GT Collectable Card Game is just showing off a Subset, and nothing is up to date yet in Dragon Ball Z Collectable Card Game. The subsets' main point of view is that they feature characters from the movie, or that have not been seen on set for some time.
Lost Crimin
Featured in the World Games saga package, The Lost Villains is based on the episode of "Great Saiyaman Saga" in which Goku and Pikonn fight against the various criminals who cause trouble in Hell. Personality in this Subset includes Frieza, Jeice, and King Cold. The Sensei Card in this Subset is Grand Kai.
Puppet Show
Featured in the World Games saga package, the "Puppet Show" subset contains scenes from the mini movie, shown at the start of the 25th Tenka-ichi Budokai that explains Cell's expected defeat at the hands of Hercule, wearing a costume acting and a bad Sentai style. Personality in this Subset includes Cells, Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Hercule. Other characters from this anime segment are not displayed due to technical inability to get good photos.
Movie 7
Available in Babadi Saga This subset package Based on "Super Android 13" Movie, Movie 7 also showcased cards that portray other Android from series. Personality in this Subset includes Android 13/Super Android 13, Android 14, Android 15, Gohan, Trunks, and Goku.
Movie 8
Included in the Buu saga package, the 8 Subset Movie cards are from the movie "Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan". Broly, the titular villain, received several strong personality cards, as well as many named cards. As a result, (and due to the popularity of characters already displayed), the card associated with Broly is highly sought after. Personality cards in this Subset include Broly, Master Roshi, and Paragus.
Cosmic Anthology
A Subset similar to the Power Caps Capsule Package, included with the Fusion saga package, Cosmic Anthology shows off cards with scenes from various Dragon Ball Z sagas, as well as some movies. It also reprinted some of the most popular cards from the previous set. Personality cards in this Subset include Zarbon, Caterpy, Dr. Willow, Icarus, Supreme West Kai, and Turles.
âââ ⬠<â â¬
As expected, this Subset is based on the 9th Dragon Ball Z Movie, "Bojack Unbound". Most of the cards centered on Bojack's pirates and his men. As noted in the Kid Buu section of the article, this subset is also released in the Buu Booster Child set.
Personality cards in this Subset include Bido, Bojack, Bujin, Kogu, Trunks, and Zanya.
Broly
A Mini-Subset is packed together with the Bojack Unbound subset (Kid Buu Saga). A subset consists of only 4 Broly Personality cards. This includes for the release of the second Broly film.
Broly: Second Coming
Based on the second film starring Broly, it was released in the expansion of the "Baby Saga" GT card, but, for all purposes, is considered Dragon Ball Z Subset. Personality cards in this Subset include Broly and Krillin.
Villain Invasion
The only Subset is printed on the Dragon Ball GT card, even though the pictures were drawn from Dragon Ball Z. Personality reflects Villains that have ultimately been defeated by Z Senshi. When the name of the Subset is first revealed, the player thinks that the characters will be the ones who are raised from Hell in Super 17 Saga or Movie 12. This does not happen, because the characters that are not in it, like Captain Ginyu, are present in a Subset this. Personality Cards in this Subset include Zarbon, Dodoria, Ginyu Captain, Cold King, Majin Yakon, Nappa, and Saibaimen.
Tuff Enuff
Tuff Enuff cards are actually released in separate packages within Saga Cell Games, so while cards are not included in the Cell Games booster package, it's still counted as a subset. 22 cards are all thwarted and printed with Cell Saga art around images and text cards, with the exception of symbols in which case it is a Tuff Enuff one. This card displays scenes from Cell Games, with the exception of "Garlic Jr's Energy Blast", "Krillin's Coolness Drill" and "Are You Tuff Enuff" (who has 100 Resilience and 100 anger to all players), cards this showcased the previous scenes. Flavor Text/Quotes for all cards are just "Tuff Enuff Only"
Promotional Card
A promotional card is a given or sold card for a number of reasons. In the Dragon Ball Score game, this includes league and tournament prizes, prize gifts, video games or video/DVD gifts, Power Package Capsule Corp, wrapper release (mail-in promotions), and more. Certain cards, such as the Fusion Frenzy fusion Persona, can be printed from the official Dragon Ball Z Trading Card Game site.
