Woody Gilmore is a drummer and cute car chassis builder in the 1960s and 1970s.
Gilmore built the chassis for the top fuel flow of Hustler VI in 1965.
In 1968, Doug Thorley purchased a funny Javelin rear-engined car from Gilmore, powered by AMC 401.
Gilmore is also responsible for Don Prudhomme, Rance McDaniel (Dan Olson Racing Products team), and Wynns Stormer confronting the wedge streamliner, all in 1972.
He also built a chassis for Petersen and Fritz "Can-Am" dragsters in 1974.
