HKS Co., Ltd. ( ???????????? , Kabushiki-gaisha Ecchi K? Esu ) is a public company headquartered in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan specializing in the production and sale of automotive parts and aftermarket parts and accessories.

Histori
HKS was formed in 1973 by Hiroyuki Hasegawa, a former engineer for Yamaha Motor Company, and its partner Goichi Kitagawa, while initial capital was awarded by Sigma Automotive (hence the name HKS). The company started operations by setting up gasoline-powered engines at dairy farms at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. Their goal is to design and build high-performing machines and components that can not be manufactured by OE (original equipment) manufacturers. In July 1974, Hasegawa engineered and built the first commercial turbocharger kit for passenger cars; since then developed turbocharger and turbocharger upgrade which later became HKS's core business.
