iconic characters in Dungeons & amp; Dragons is a set of characters developed for the 3rd edition Dungeons & amp; Dragons role-playing game to be used as a recurring character in illustrated illustrations and text to describe the arcetype of D & amp; D race and class combinations. In the case of some classes, there is more than one iconic character, allowing for a more varied icon party. They are created by and presented as player characters to developers during the creation and testing of Third Edition rules.

The iconic characters are mainly of 11 core classes; while iconic characters exist for other standard classes, they are not well recognized. The iconic characters appear in different Dungeons & amp; Dragon books, including Players Handbook , Dungeon Master's Guide , and Enemies and Allies .

The iconic character for the core class is also the focus of a series of Dungeons & amp; Dragons novel tie-in by T. H. Another, a collective pseudonym adopted by a number of Wizards of the Coast staff. Three characters, Lidda, Krusk, and Jozan, are used as audio commentary on the DVD release of Dungeons & amp; Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God .
