Legend of the Dragon is an animated series consisting of 26 episodes followed by 13 additional episodes with a total of 39 episodes. It was produced by BKN and aired in October 2006 as part of the Jetix block at Toon Disney. Subsequently, the two-part premiere, "Trial by Fire" was featured as Jetix Blockbuster at ABC Family in August before all Jetix programs moved to Toon Disney.
In the UK, the first 26 episodes have been aired on CBBC. It aired in the summer of 2005 on the CBBC channel. The last thirteen episodes of the show aired in Australia on TV Toasted Network Ten from March 19, 2008 and ending in 2012

Sinopsis
The show begins when the Golden Dragon has previously been inherited to the afterlife and Ang and Ling Leung, the twelve fraternal brothers, born in the year of the Dragon, are on the next line for the band of Golden Dragon powers and its users a mystical ability to defend the mortal world from evil. Ang does not have the belief that he will become a Golden Dragon, because Ling is the best fighter in the Dragon dojo. Ling is positive that he will become a Golden Dragon. However, when Master Chin summoned the Golden Dragon power to choose who would become the next gold dragon, he chose Ang. Humiliated and angry, Ling storms out of the temple and is tempted by the dark and evil forces of the shadow Dragon. Since then, Ang was forced to fight his own twin brother.
In the last episode of Season One, Double Dragon, Ling was followed by a greater shadow magic by the revived Emperor Yue the Dark, who ordered him to win the golden mystical band of the Golden Dragon from Ang. However, Master Chin reveals to Ling that the only way for her to legitimately claim the band's strength is to kill her. Horrified, Ling was completely free of the darkness that had flooded him for so long, because he could not end his own twin brother. Impressed, Chin says that this is all a test for Ling to follow his true path. He explains that, as Ang's twin brothers, he can now become his own Golden Dragon. The chin combines the positive and negative energy of the Golden Dragon power band and the Dragon Shadow band gives Dragon Fire greater power to Ang and Ling as a double Gold Dragon; and are now twice as powerful as they work together as one.
The last Gold Dragon has died and a new one has to be selected. There are only two people available: Ang Leung and Ling Leung, fifteen year old twins who are very proficient in martial arts and have knowledge of the ancient philosophy of the Golden Dragon. They both started martial arts training in their Dojo as usual, accompanied by Beingal. Suddenly, Mr. Chin arrives and tells them the new Golden Dragon should be chosen. Mr. Chin also told Mistress to return to her temple because she had been chosen as the Keeper of the Tiger Temple. Everyone departs, but not before a certain Snake sees and follows them.
Meanwhile, in the forest, the soldiers attacked a temple and went straight to the center to find the Serpent statue. In the center of the body, they find a full hole of the Snake, which begins to form a tower and reveals a woman. He is the Cobra, the Guardian of the Temple of the Snakes, and they have broken his temple. He pulled the Powerband of the Snakes out of the Snake Mouth Statue and empowered his band, attacking the soldiers and managing to defeat them. However, before he can defeat the latter, a person emerges from behind a statue wearing a Zodiac sign and a green outfit: he declares himself to be the Zodiac Master. He immediately puts a small little bomb in the mouth of the Statue of the Snake, causing it to explode and blowing all the debris towards the Cobra. This pinched him, allowing enough time for the Zodiac Master to steal the mystical Powerband from him.
Back in Hong Kong, Ling could not help it. He's overconfident that he'll become a Golden Dragon. Ang also believes that Ling will be chosen, which will place a huge responsibility on one of them in addition to the great power. Soon they arrive at the Dragon Temple, entering to find themselves in front of the Dragon's head with fire in his mouth. Mr. Chin approached the stage in front of the head that showed all signs of the Zodiac symbol. The temple begins to glow from its mouth and reveals the Powerband of the Dragons.
Powerband chose Ang to become a new Golden Dragon. Ling, who is too confident in thinking he will become a new Dragon, is bitten with jealousy. Feeling insulted, he tried to take the band away from him but was not lucky. Then, the same man who took the Cobra powerband arrived with his soldiers at the temple. She introduces herself as a Zodiac Master, but Master Chin expresses it as Woo Yin, one of her former students, though the Zodiac Guru rejects the name. Ling immediately attacked the soldiers. Mr. Chin keeps Ang from battle until Ling completely defeats all the soldiers and is entangled by King Cobra Snake (Zodiac Master's Pet). Ang then empowers the new Dragon and Dragon Dragons against the Zodiac Teachers. He was eventually defeated and Snake Powerband now sent himself to Ang.
The Zodiac master is now defeated, his Snake Powerband is gone, his warrior is defeated, at the same time his plan has failed. With that, he decides to leave. Master Chin told Ang that after the defeat, Powerband went to the winner, even to the dark forces. He turns to Ling to tell him that the Golden Dragon must be someone who knows the responsibility of power and then leaves. Ling, swearing that one day he would wear the band, ran out of the temple.

With Ang being the new Golden Dragon, he searches inside Dragon Dojo for Ling and finds him at the entrance but is still angry until Master Chin arrives and he yells at him for not being selected as the next Dragon and tells him that he will have no matter what he has to do to get it and go. Ang tries to chase him, but is stopped by Mr. Chin because he has to choose his own way and they have a lot of work to do.
They went down to the Temple of the Dragon, where Master Chin gave Ang a lesson about 12 symbols in front of the Dragon's head. He explained that after the Golden Dragon managed to regain another Guardian group from the Zodiac Master, the bands had to be placed on top of the Zodiac Symbol. The Ang test with their Snake Powerband is taken from Master Zodiac and placed it on Snake Symbol and the image of a Snake then takes the band back to the Temple of the Snakes. Teacher Chin goes on to explain this also acts as a memorial beacon: whenever a temple is in danger or has been violated or the Guardian itself is in danger of the symbol will shine and right that second, the Dragon symbol begins to shine, indicating that someone has broken into the Dragon Temple. Ang awakens power and finds a little man wearing a white-red mask jumping around the temple trying to avoid Ang.
Outside, Ling was annoyed and approached by Zodiac Guru to enter the darkness of Yin, while stepping out of Yang's light. He took him to his hiding place on a small island filled with all sorts of technology and Shadow Dragon's temple and offered him the opportunity to become a Dragon as a Shadow Dragon.
Back at the Dragon Temple, Ang finally catches the runaway man, Mr. Chin identifies him as Xuan Chi, the Monkey Temple Keeper. He tells the story of why he is there: three temple robbers raided his temple and kidnapped him with his Powerband and took many things from the temple. Xuan Chi but manages to escape and comes to the Dragon Temple to help to retrieve his band, but Ang says he can not because he says that the band can be anywhere now and that he has a "bean case called Guru Zodiac" after his own band and should look for Ling.
Later in the evening, Ang introduces the confused Xuan Chi technology and sees him playing games on his computer. Before he could continue, Ling appeared and Ang asked where he was, but Mr. Chin answered him with the Zodiac Master. Ang is initially denying that he will not join the Zodiac Master. But when he empowered his band and saw Ling full of dark energy and asked what he had done, he replied that he chose his own destiny. Mr. Chin insisted that his sister was now their enemy. Ling then empowers his new band, revealing that he is the new Dragon Shadow and starts fighting with Ang.
Ang avoids any attacks and does not want to fight him, but soon has no choice when he defeats Xuan Chi in the fight and he defeats him with an explosive force. He makes a hasty retreat, while Ang wonders how he will stop Master Zodiac, now along with the Shadow Dragon, but Mr. Chin manages to say he will find his way in the long journey ahead of him. Xuan Chi now joins them both on their way.

It was a matter of time for Ang to go to the Tiger Temple to stop them destroying the Temple itself and keeping the band safe. When Ling defeats Beingal, he shouts "no" and jumps down and captures Beingal, The Zodiac Master says he is weak and that he saved him because he was once his friend, but he says it because they need Beingal to lure the Golden Dragon to the Tiger Temple.

They both pursue the Ox as the next target, so Ang has to stop them, but the question is whether the Zodiac Guru really controls all the forces he uses?

Ling was in trouble after the Emperor gave his strength but tried to pull him into his grave. When Ling arranges to meet Ang to ask for his help, the Zodiac Teacher reads his email and shows up, making Ang believe it is all acting. Ang has hidden his band somewhere and Master Zodiac threatens to destroy Ling if he does not release the band. Ang gave up and when they went to the hideout, the band did not exist. Meanwhile, other temple guardians have come to the Dragon Temple in honor of the new Dragon but they find him not there. So Chow, Guardian of the Dog, as well as Xuan Chi went looking for Ang, when Xuan Chi found the Dragon band.

Mr. Chin gave an important message to Ang "When you try to use evil powers, it is evil that eventually uses you"
The Last Dragon

They discovered this during a special time of year in which all twelve guardians meditated while their Powerbands recharge their full strength and mystical energy. The Zodiac teacher sees this as an opportunity to attack. Ling and Ang work together and they hug each other. Ang thought Ling would come back, but he chose different.

Soon they discover he is the Ram Guardian and have often worked with their father, the Golden Dragon before, against the Zodiac Master. Later, they fell in love, married, and had twins Ang and Ling. But one day, Zodiac Master attacked him. He survived the attack, but lost all his memories of who he was and from his new family. They both set out to see their mother at the Temple of Ram, but not without the Zodiac Teacher interfering.

The darkest Emperor Yin has returned to life thanks to Master Zodiac and Ling with four Powerbands. He sets a test for Ling to get the Powerband from the Golden Dragon. He goes to the Dragon Dojo and defeats Ang, Beingal and Xuan Chi, but the Band does not teleport to Ling. Mr. Chin told him to take the band from his brother, he must kill him. He could not do it and ended up crying, throwing Dragon Dragon Band across the room and telling Mr. Chin he did not want it anymore. However, Mr. Chin told him that he had passed his exam.
Mr. Chin told Ang, Ling, Beingal, and Xuan Chi that this was a test for Ling to see if he himself could become a Golden Dragon. Mr. Chin picked up the Shadow Dragon Band, earned Ang's Golden Dragon Band and threw it into the air. The bands combine and fuse for a moment, kill the Spirit of the Shadow Dragon, then separate to become two Golden Dragon bands, which means Ang and Ling are now twin gold dragons. They now both go to take the Emperor Yin of Darkness, along with all the other Temple Keepers.

However, Ang and Ling sought the mystical Heart of the Golden Dragon itself. With that, Ang and Ling succeeded in finally eliminating the Emperor of the Darkest Ying, and destroying the Dark Heart of the Black Dragon in the process.

A Legend of the Dragon (video game) was released on May 1, 2007 for the Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable.
DVD release
This full series was released on DVD in separate volumes in Bulgaria. Each season (13 episodes) consists of 5 2-episode DVDs and one with 3 episodes. In England, 2006, the first 13 episodes of season 1 were released on a 2-disc set. The second 2-disc set, containing 13 episodes of 1st season, should be released, but it is not. This full series is licensed by Image Entertainment, Inc. and is sold now.
Comics Book
In 2004 World Comics released a comic book series to the series.
